Have a community project in need of funding? SAP&DC is available to assist local economic developers, planners, municipal officials, and non-profit organizations seeking financial assistance for community or economic development projects. SAP&DC staff can provide information on state or federal grant opportunities and assist with the planning and grant application process. Requests for project reviews can be submitted to the Commission’s Board of Directors through the Planning and Community Development Division. Listed below are links to state and federal entities that offer community and economic development funding opportunities.

The Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) funds projects that address the four goals identified in the Commission’s strategic plan. SAP&DC will help an organization complete a project profile and prepare an assessment of the project. As ARC’s regional clearinghouse for grant applications, SAP&DC prioritizes projects, prepares and submits applications, and guides the applicant through the funding process.
