Function:

Responsible for making recommendations to the WIB on appropriate youth training providers, services and other issues related to youth including:  funding recommendations with the assurance of adherence to WIA standards and WIB policy; and review of services to assure the attainment of performance outcome measures by providers of WIA services.  The Council is also responsible for the development of the local strategic plan related to youth, will assist the WIB in broadening the youth employment and training focus in the community to incorporate a youth development perspective and will establish linkages with other organizations serving youth in the local area.
