- Position the WIB as a leader and active partner in regional workforce development initiatives.
- Maintain a clear understanding of the region's economic climate to better determine the direction of workforce development activities.
- Work to reduce the unemployment rate and stem the exodus of young people by improving and creating workforce-related opportunities for youth.
- Establish and support the Careerlink System as the vehicle for providing a seamless delivery of workforce-related services that are locally driven and customer-focused.
- Work to increase the skill levels for dislocated, incumbent and underemployed workers.
- Facilitate access to support services for job seekers and incumbent workers
