Survey for the 25-Year Long Range Transportation Plan is Online

Southern Alleghenies Planning & Development Commission (SAP&DC,) in cooperation with the Bedford, Fulton, Huntingdon, and Somerset County Planning Commissions, is seeking input for the Southern Alleghenies Rural Planning Organization (RPO) Long Range Transportation Plan.

SAP&DC, in coordination with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) and Bedford, Fulton, Huntingdon and Somerset Counties, has begun the process of updating the region’s Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP). This plan is financially constrained and outlines a 25-year vision for how transportation funds will be spent in the RPO. The plan is a springboard for identifying and recommending projects for inclusion in the state’s Twelve Year Transportation Program (TYP). The Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) is derived from the LRTP and is a listing of federally and state funded projects to be completed during the first four-year period of the plan.
