Southern Alleghnies Rural Planning Organization Needs Your Input on Transportation Improvements

The Southern Alleghenies Rural Planning Organization (RPO), in coordination with PennDOT District 9, and the Counties of Bedford, Fulton, Huntingdon, and Somerset, is seeking input from regional stakeholders on potential transportation improvements within the RPO. 

Every two years, PennDOT Districts and their Planning Partners across the state build a Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) that lists publicly funded transportation projects.  This past summer, the Southern Alleghenies RPO adopted the 2019-2022 TIP, which is expected to go into effect on October 1, 2018.  It can be viewed at

The RPO is now beginning the outreach process to gather information on transportation needs for the 2021-2024 TIP.  Two meetings will be held in each of the aforementioned counties according to the schedule below.  Please feel free to attend any of the sessions, regardless of where you live, work, or play.  Come ready to discuss improvements anywhere in the RPO.
