SAP&DC Check Presentations for Greenways Mini-Grant Awards

The Southern Alleghenies Planning and Development Commission (SAP&DC) along with the County Commissioners will be presenting checks to the awarded mini-grant projects for the 4th round of the Greenways Mini-Grants Program. The presentations will take place on August 28th and 29th. Details can be found below. Check Presentation Ceremonies will be open to the public signifying the awarded funding of the projects listed below:

  • Great Allegheny Passage – Garrett Trailhead Improvements $14,251.00, Somerset County: This grant award will be signified through a check presentation at 9:30 AM on August 29th at the project site: the Garrett Trailhead of the Great Allegheny Passage. SAP&DC, the Somerset county commissioners and project Manager, Brett Hollern, plan to attend.
  • Johnstown Inclined Plane Riverside Park $30,000.00, City of Johnstown, Cambria County: A check presentation signifying this grant award will be held on August 28th at 11 AM at the bottom of the Johnstown Inclined Plane. Mr. Jonathan Rosenthal plans to attend for the City along with the Cambria County Commissioners and SAP&DC.
  • C & I Extension for the Ghost Town Trail: $50,000.00, Cambria County Conservation & Recreation Authority, Cambria County: This check presentation will take place on August 28th at 9:30 AM at the Young People’s Community Center Pavilion in Ebensburg. The Cambria County Commissioners plan on attending along with Clifford Kitner, representing the Cambria County Conservation and Recreation Authority, and SAP&DC staff.
