The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) Bureau of Recreation and Conservation’s (BRC) 2018 grant program for statewide, regional, and local recreation and conservation projects will open on January 22 and close on April 11, 2018.
Jay Schreibman, BRC’s Regional Recreation and Conservation Advisor for SouthCentral Pennsylvania, will provide an overview of the Community Conservation Partnerships Grant Program, discuss the DCNR grant application process, and give guidance on developing a competitive, Ready-To-Go project. The funding available can assist municipalities, non-profit organizations, and more complete their recreation and conservation projects, such as Land Acquisition, Park Planning, Trail Studies, Park Rehabilitation, and Trail Development.
Angie Berzonski from The Community Foundation for the Alleghenies (CFA) will be highlighting grant opportunities for Bedford, Cambria, Indiana, and Somerset counties. A step-by-step walk through of their grant applications and grant writing tips will help to create a strong and successful application.
