The Southern Alleghenies Workforce Investment Board (SAWIB) has received $3,706,424 to support workforce development through the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act (ARRA) of 2009. These funds will be used almost exclusively to:
- Support an expanded Summer Work Experience Program for Youth.
- Training and Supportive Services for Adults and Dislocated Workers who are pursuing post-secondary education.
- Dislocated Worker Skill Enhancement Program to promote re-entry into the job market or advancement through additional education and training.
