The Southern Alleghenies Planning and Development Commission provides staff to assist the SAWIB with the Board’s responsibilities.

Staff responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Working to ensure the region’s CareerLinks provide the highest level of service
• Securing funding to upgrade the skills of the region’s workforce
• Providing oversight and technical assistance to providers of workforce services
• Helping to identify service gaps and create/support programs to address those gaps
• Collecting, analyzing, and disseminating labor market information
