The Planning Advisory Committee (PAC) meets to facilitate regional planning and communication among the six counties of the Southern Alleghenies region.

The PAC meets on a quarterly basis to coordinate the planning strategies and interests of the six counties in the region.  SAP&DC Planning and Community Development staff provides meeting facilities and staff support for the committee.

Recently, PAC has been working with the Southern Alleghenies Greenways and Open Space Network Plan.  In 2007, the committee will begin work on a new project involving Transportation, Land Use, and Economic Development (LUTED).

Members of the PAC include:

  • Somerset

• A representative from Altoona-Blair County Development (ABCD) Corporation
• A representative from Johnstown Area Regional Industries (JARI)
